5 Highlights on Septic System Installation

  • Full-site assessment included — Septiclear Inc conducts percolation tests, soil profile evaluations, and setback measurements before any excavation begins, so your installation meets local health department regulations from day one.
  • Licensed engineers on every project — Every septic system installation is designed by a certified engineer who maps the drain field layout, sizes the tank correctly, and selects the right distribution box configuration for your soil type.
  • Conventional and alternative systems installed — Whether your property needs a gravity-fed conventional tank-and-leach-field setup or an advanced mound system with a dosing chamber and aerator, Septiclear installs both residential and commercial systems.
  • Permit procurement handled for you — Septiclear pulls all required permits, coordinates with your local health department, and schedules inspections so you don’t chase paperwork.
  • Clean backfill and grading on every job — After the tank is buried and the absorption field is connected, crews compact, level, and grade the surface to proper slope, leaving your property clean and functional.

Why Choose Our Septic System Installation

Septiclear Inc installs septic systems the right way the first time. Our licensed contractors and certified technicians have installed hundreds of residential and commercial systems across rural and suburban properties. We don’t cut corners on soil testing, pipe placement, or tank sealing.

Every installation starts with a certified percolation test and a full soil profile review. That data drives the design. Our engineers size the tank, calculate the absorption field area, and position the distribution box to match your actual site conditions — not a generic template.

We install conventional systems, pressurized systems, mound systems, and advanced aerobic treatment units. Each system gets properly sloped drain lines, correctly seated baffles at the inlet and outlet, and a watertight riser with a secure lid and access port.

Septiclear holds all required state contractor licenses and carries full liability insurance. Our technicians are trained on current code requirements and work directly with local health departments and inspectors. We stand behind every installation with a written workmanship guarantee.

Affordable septic system installation doesn’t mean cheap materials. Septiclear sources quality tanks, pipes, and filters from trusted manufacturers and installs them to last. You get a functional, code-compliant system and a team that answers the phone when you have questions after the job is done.

Signs You Need Septic System Installation

1. Your property has no existing septic system: New construction on a rural or suburban lot without municipal sewer access requires a permitted septic system installation before occupancy. Septiclear surveys the lot, locates the best position for the tank and leach field, and designs a system that meets your county’s setback and easement requirements.

2. Your current system has failed completely: A failing septic system shows clear signs — sewage backing up into drains, effluent surfacing over the drain field, or a saturated absorption field that no longer percolates. When the biomat has clogged the soil and the leach field can’t be restored through remediation, a full replacement installation is the correct solution.

3. Your tank is cracked, corroded, or structurally compromised: An old concrete tank with cracked walls or a corroded steel tank can’t contain untreated wastewater. Groundwater intrusion and effluent leakage are both serious problems. Installing a new polyethylene or precast concrete tank with a properly sealed inlet, outlet, and riser resolves the structural failure.

4. You’re adding a bedroom, bathroom, or commercial space: Expanding your home or business increases the daily wastewater load on your existing system. If your current tank and drain field were sized for fewer occupants or less usage, a new or expanded septic system installation may be required to handle the added volume without overflow or backup.

5. Your perc test results disqualify your current field location: Impermeable soil, a high water table, or a failed percolation test means your existing or planned drain field location won’t work. Septiclear’s engineers identify alternative field locations, design mound systems for low-permeability soils, or specify advanced treatment units that meet your site’s specific conditions.

Our Septic System Installation Process

Step 1 — Site Survey and Soil Testing Septiclear locates your property boundaries, identifies easements and setbacks, and probes the soil profile. A certified percolation test measures how fast water drains through your soil. These results determine the system type and absorption field size.

Step 2 — System Design and Permitting Our licensed engineer designs the full system — tank size, inlet and outlet baffle placement, distribution box position, drain field layout, and pipe slope. We submit the design to your local health department, pull the required permits, and schedule the inspection.

Step 3 — Excavation and Tank Installation Crews excavate the tank pit and trench the drain field lines to the engineered depth and slope. The tank is set, leveled, and connected to the inlet pipe from the structure. The outlet connects to the distribution box or pump chamber.

Step 4 — Drain Field and Pipe Installation Perforated pipes are laid in gravel-filled trenches across the absorption field. Each line is sloped correctly to distribute effluent evenly. Filters and aerators are installed where the design specifies.

Step 5 — Backfill, Inspection, and Certification The system is inspected before backfill. Once approved, crews backfill, compact, and grade the site. Septiclear provides the homeowner with system documentation, riser locations, and a maintenance schedule.

FAQs About Septic System Installation

What is septic system installation?

Septic system installation is the full process of designing, permitting, excavating, and constructing an on-site wastewater treatment system. It includes setting the tank, connecting inlet and outlet pipes, installing the distribution box, and laying perforated drain lines across the absorption field.

When do you need a new septic system installation?

You need a new installation when building on a lot without sewer access, when your existing system has failed beyond repair, when your tank is structurally compromised, or when a property expansion increases the wastewater load beyond your current system’s capacity.

How does a septic system work after installation?

Wastewater flows from the structure into the tank, where solids settle as sludge and lighter material floats as scum. Clarified effluent exits through the outlet baffle into the drain field, where it percolates through gravel and soil. Bacteria in the soil treat the effluent before it reaches groundwater.

How long does septic system installation take?

Most residential installations take two to four days from excavation to backfill, depending on system type, soil conditions, and permit timelines. Mound systems and advanced aerobic systems may take longer due to additional components.

Can Septiclear install a septic system on any property?

Septiclear installs systems on most residential and commercial properties. Soil type, lot size, setback requirements, and percolation test results determine which system type fits your site. Properties with impermeable soil or high water tables may require a mound system or advanced treatment unit.

Does a septic system installation require a permit?

Yes. Every septic system installation requires a permit from your local health department. Septiclear handles the permit application, design submission, and inspection scheduling as part of every installation project.
